Warehouse Management Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Warehouse Management Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing the way we work. From self-driving cars to facial recognition software, AI is already having a major impact on our lives. And it's only going to become more prevalent in the years to come.

Warehouses are no exception. AI is already being used to improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety in warehouse operations. And as AI continues to develop, we can expect to see even more innovative ways to use it in this setting.

Here are just a few of the ways that AI is being used in warehouses today:

- Automating tasks: AI can be used to automate a variety of tasks in warehouses, from picking and packing orders to loading and unloading trucks. This can free up human workers to focus on more strategic tasks, improving efficiency and productivity.

- Improving accuracy: AI can be used to improve the accuracy of warehouse operations by detecting errors and identifying potential problems. This can help to ensure that orders are shipped correctly and that products are not damaged.

- Ensuring safety: AI can be used to monitor warehouse operations for safety hazards and to alert workers to potential risks. This can help to prevent accidents and injuries, improving the safety of workers and the products they handle.

As AI continues to develop, we can expect to see even more innovative ways to use it in warehouses. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the way we work, making warehouses more efficient, accurate, and safe.

Here are some specific examples of how AI is being used in warehouses today:

- Companies that operate cashier less convenience stores that use AI to track customers as they shop and automatically charge their accounts when they leave.

- Online grocery store uses AI to manage its warehouses and deliver orders to customers.

- Companies that provide automated warehouse solutions. Its robots can pick and pack orders, load and unload trucks, and sort products.

These are just a few examples of how AI is being used in warehouses today. As AI continues to develop, we can expect to see even more innovative and efficient ways to use it in this setting.

Here are some of the benefits of using AI in warehouses:

- Improved efficiency: AI can help to improve efficiency in warehouses by automating tasks, detecting errors, and identifying potential problems. This can free up human workers to focus on more strategic tasks, improving productivity.

- Improved accuracy: AI can help to improve accuracy in warehouses by detecting errors and identifying potential problems. This can help to ensure that orders are shipped correctly and that products are not damaged.

- Ensured safety: AI can help to ensure safety in warehouses by monitoring operations for hazards and alerting workers to potential risks. This can help to prevent accidents and injuries.

AI has the potential to revolutionize the way we work in warehouses. By automating tasks, detecting errors, and identifying potential problems, AI can help to improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety in warehouses. This technology has the potential to make warehouses more efficient, accurate, and safe.

.ZPL File setup for LPN Template

.ZPL File setup for LPN Template

One of the most important parts of Oracle WMS Functional setup is the .zpl file. Now the question is what is the .zpl file?

As we all know, in time of label printing; Oracle creates a .xml file and stored that in a pre-specified location. And it is not taken care of LPN template (LPN design). Every alternative warehouse has there own way of LPN design. Now find the below steps to understand the template in detail.

Follow the below steps to find out the template:

1. Note The printer IP

2. Paste it in browser

3. Click on Directory Listing

4. After clicking on Click on Directory Listing, you will find the .zpl file which is associated with your printer. If in your business you are using multiple templates then you can found more than one .zpl file.

Note: From the printer setup, you can find the file name too. Follow the below path to find the .ZPL file

Setup > Warehouse Configuration > Printer and Devices > Define Label Format

Label Type = LPN Content and Entity Type = Format. Then click on Find

Check the WMS Label Format Rule, to find the triggering point.

5. Copy the text in .ZPL file

6. To test the label format, you can find multiple free websites.

7. Paste the copied text

8. Check the review

Note:

BXN is related to barcode LPN.

You can Put original value in place of LPN to view the result
