Oracle Warehouse Management Setups - Define Items and Warehouse Equipment 


Below are the details of  Define Items and warehouse Equipment as part of Oracle Warehouse Management Setups 

In WMS, warehouse equipment are also define from Item creation form.

Navigation: - Warehouse Manager Responsibility >> Setup >> Material Setup >> Items >> Master Items >> Double Click

Devices/Equipment are defined as an Item:





In Inventory Tab select the checkbox “Inventory Item” and in purchasing tab select “Purchased Item” and save it. After this assign equipment item to inventory organization and save it.


Define Equipment as “Hand Pallet Device” and assign it to the Inventory Organization.

Note: - These items can be defined based on types of equipment used by customers in their business.




Serial Number generation for equipment’s

Navigation:- Warehouse Manager Responsibility >> View >> Request >> Submit a New Request >> Single Request >> OK >> “Serial Generation”


Enter parameter name like “Item” (Equipment Name) and the total quantity for the serial numbers.


Submit the request.

The same manner we have done for all types of equipment depending on business requirements.
