Define Rules (Task Assignments Rules, Picking Rules, Put-away Rules)
Below are the details of Define Rules (Task Assignments Rules, Picking Rules, Put-away Rules) as part of Oracle Warehouse Management Setups
Define Task Assignments Rules
Navigation: -
Warehouse Manager Responsibility >> Setup >> Warehouse
Configuration >> Warehouse Execution >> Rules >> Double Click
Types of Rules:-
Scenario 1:- As
we have 2 types of equipment define we need to define rule type as “Task Type
Assignment” to let the system know which device the task has to be allocated. In
this scenario we have a requirement that if Source Locator Rack is above 1 level
then it has to be assigned to “Fork Lift
Device” else anything for Source Locator Rack 1 it should be assigned to “Hand Pallet Device”.
Enter the values like Rules Type, Name, Description and
Return Value.
Note: - Return Value will have the list of Equipment
assigned to Standard Operations defined in the previous step.
In this case, if source locator rack is more than 1 this rule will get fire and will assign tasks to Fork Lift Device.
In this case, if source locator rack is 1 this rule will get
fire and will assign the task to Hand Pallet
Device.
Define Picking Rules
In below screenshot, we have defined a rule “Pick Rule for Apple” for A1 WH which
states that either STRG1 or STRG2 sub-inventory will be considered for item storage.
Define Putaway Rules
In below screenshot, we have defined a rule “Box Putaway” for A1 WH which states
that in STRG1 sub-inventory if category
is either BOPP or POLY then it should put it on rack greater than 1 for putting
the items from the receiving area.
Similar manner we can create Putaway and Pick Rules-based
on customer requirements.
